Chris Kimsey - Record producer and engineer video feature at Sphere Studios
We recently caught up with Chris Kimsey, legendary record producer, recording engineer and musician at Sphere Studios in London to talk about his amazing career. This video is in Quick Time format and requires a good, fast connection to stream without interruption. If you find that it keeps pausing, just wait 5 minutes to let it buffer.
When you've watched Chris' video why not view some of the pictures that we took in the gallery here? We think that Chris is one of the most unsung record producers in the World and so we're delighted to bring an extended interview with him!
Chris is most famous for his work with the Rolling Stones having co-produced the Stones' Undercover and Steel Wheels albums. Chris was also the recording engineer on major Stones records such as Sticky Fingers, Some Girls and Emotional Rescue.
Chris has worked with a huge range of artists, ranging from Marillion, Peter Tosh, The Psychedelic Furs, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, The Cult, Johnny Hallyday,Peter Frampton, Diesel Park West, Killing Joke, New Model Army, Ash, The Chieftains, Duran Duran, Yes, INXS etc etc.
Special thanks to everyone at Sphere Studios for making this feature possible, to George Shilling and to Chris for giving us half a day of his time.
