Description:
|
The Beyer M 201 TG preserves its place in history through sheer performance and reliability and has come to feature here with the classics. A truly sensitive dynamic microphone with a range of applications spanning instruments to vocals, being particularly effective when the microphone has to be placed at a distance from the sound source. It incorporates a “hum-buck“ coil that rejects mains borne interference introduced when using the microphone close to video monitors or other mains powered devices.

Positive aspects of the product (pros):

Well made and very good sounding dynamic mic that can take abuse. Very good used on drums.

A nice alternative to the Shure SM57 or MKH421's on toms etc. I liked them so much at one time I had about eight and loved them. Quite neutral in some ways but not at all boring.

A weel made and decent drum mic

201's have a tight pickup pattern and high overload level so are good for drum work. They are quite flat and work as a good alternative to anything you use 57's for, they just sound different.

201's are good at everything. With a SM7, SM57 and a 47/87 they are all you need.
Very good all round dynamic mic
