Sean Genockey is a London-based record producer, mixer, songwriter and guitarist and in this video shows 7 mic placement techniques - you can substitute the more expensive microphones with cheaper alternatives.
With over twenty years of experience in the music industry Sean is primarily known as a rock music producer with engineering/mixing credits featuring heavyweights such as The Who, Suede, Manic Street Preachers, Kula Shaker, The Futureheads, Gyroscope and Starsailor.
Sean's currently on guitar duties with Roger Daltrey. Sean runs Black Dog Studios in London with an massive selection of vintage instruments but when a project requires a residential studio, Sean usually heads to the legendary Rockfield in Wales though he has also recorded in both Canada and the US including the famed Rancho De La Luna Studio (QOTSA, Foo Fighters) in Joshua Tree.
