Studio Tour

Beat Street Studio

Engineer Oliver Sekunda shows us around a very nice studio in Leeds

Look around this Aladin's Cave of a studio, so much equipment and so many instruments in such a compact but flexible space that's designed for bands to be affordable.

Based in Leeds the studio has now built up a great track record so we wanted to take a look around and Russell Cottier was given a tour by resident recording engineer Oliver Sekunda.

Beat Street Studios tour with recording engineer Oliver Sekunda

Oliver Sekunda started his career at Chairworks studios in Castleford then moved to assisting at a studio in France. On his return to Britain he took the engineering helm at Beat Street Studio.

Oliver is an expert engineer when it comes to recording and mixing bands. He also has an extensive number of production credits under his belt. In the past he has worked with a diverse range of artists including The Pigeon Detectives, Cud, KRS One, Young Thug and Ginger Wildheart.

As well as recording bands Oliver has a deep knowledge of electronic music and instruments. He has great experience in writing and producing for artists that are using electronic elements in their productions so this is a really good video showing what's available at Beat Street and hopefully you can get some insight in to the personality of the studio and engineer.  We highly recommend people visit this studio to see if it could suit their needs!
