John Delf is a studio and live engineer and he has built a lovely studio in the North of England in Alderley Edge with a range of live recording spaces that sound great for drums and pretty much all instruments. Recently John installed an SSL AWS 924 console to further beef up Edge Studios equipment. The main studio monitors are by PMC.
This is a short two part feature, in the first half John talks about how the studio was built and the second takes us around on a brief studio tour.
Edge is based in the grounds of a stately home and has a good range of equipment including a world class Solid State Logic AWS924 mixing console, a large selection of Sennheiser, Shure and Neumann microphones with superb PMC MB01 monitoring. John Delf and Mark Winterburn are the in house engineers - both are featured in this video.
Edge Recording Studios is not far from Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham and is under 3 hours from London, Glasgow and Belfast.
