Born in Portugal, record producer and recording engineer Pedro Ferreira began his career engineering for many up and coming bands with his own mobile recording studio rig travelling from makeshift studios to converted garages. After relocating to London in 1992 he initially worked as a freelance engineer before establishing himself at Rondor Music as house engineer/producer, working with bands and producers across all musical genres at the publishers studios.
Pedro is now best known as the producer of The Darkness' debut album 'Permission to Land' (Atlantic Records) which acheived multi-platinum status with sales of 4 million copies worldwide. Pedro's recent projects include producing the new Therapy album 'One Cure Fits All' for Eagle Rock (UK).
We are delighted to present this in depth video interview shot at Strongroom Studios in London where Pedro talks about his experiences and techniques.
Special thanks to Nigel Jopson for his interview, to all at Strongroom Studios for the kind use of their SSL room and of course to Pedro for taking time out of his busy schedule!
