Ken
Thomas, legendary record producer, recording engineer
and musician whose career started at the renowned Trident
Studios, worked with the likes of Queen and David Bowie.
He went on to encompass the days of Punk, engineering
for bands such as Public Image, Test Department, 999
and The Cocteau Twins.
Through
to the present day he has produced new artists such
as Minus, Hope of The States and the recent Icelandic
phenomena Sigur Ros. Ken also plays drums and can engineer
live sound.
 Ken recently completed the Hope Of The States' eagerly
awaited debut album 'The Lost Riots' (Sony Music). 'The
Lost Riots' was recorded in Russia, Ireland and England
and is the first time the band has 'nailed' the sound
of their live performance in the studio.
Hope
Of The States' frontman Sam Nihily says "The first
week with Ken we got into this thing where nothing was
sacred in terms of ideas about the songs. After the
first week we got a clear idea of how the album was
going to sound when it was finished. Ken was the 7th
member of the band and always will be. The guy is a
legend. We did this with him and went through it all
with him. He was by our side; he wasn't leading us and
we weren't leading him."
