UK music studio with great vibe, engineers and superb location
Under an hour from London and set in the beautiful Kent country side, the very friendly and relaxed atmosphere of Ten21 recording studios makes it a great location for many recording or mixing projects at an affordable rate.
The studio blends analogue and digital recording by combining the Audient console with the excellent RADAR sound of the iz ADA converters. The M&K monitoring system is surprisingly good and the Recording Architecture's design makes for a good listening and recording environment.
Recording is split over three small but ample sized rooms, all with sight lines to the control room, each has a camera and monitor so that the band can see each other. The range of acoustics to record in is good and there are a nice range of instruments available to use including a rather nice drum kit. You could probably just turn up having forgotten all of your equipment and still be able to make the record here.
Sean Kenny, the studio owner, has put a vast amount of effort in creating one of the nicest mid range studios that we've seen. He has built the studio himself and the level of attention to detail is remarkable. Sean also engineers and produces having been a gigging musician for many years he can offer real help and experience to musicians working in a studio for the first time.
