RP's site news

We've been really busy upgrading the video editing computers to speed up the web compression etc so between editing new features we will be going back through some of the older videos to re-encode for the wider bandwidth that's now available. We can now render off a video in an hour that used to take a day. This means we can raise the quality overall.

It seems that every weekend we're out with the cameras filming some great new producer videos, maybe you will be next? We can't know everyone so sign up to the network and set up a date! It costs nothing to be featured so don't let being broke stop you! If you're in the States we really are coming over but it's going to be around September as the trip is going to include NY, Nashville and LA. It's going to be expensive to do this so any offers of accommodation, loan of Corvette Stingray, or help in any way would be greatly appreciated!

The Blog is now more established with some fantastic regular blogs by a secret American studio owner (

The Compressor) who takes us on the journey of running a studio and Fran Ashcroft who does almost the same thing but from a producers perspective. We really would like to hear from you if you'd like to do a weekly or monthly blog.

Two Day Production Master Class
All Food and Accommodation Provided in the price!

RecordProduction.com would like to invite you to a special two day Record Production Master Class with Dave Eringa on the 22nd and 23rd July in the UK. The two-day sessions will be held at Modern World Studios - widely recognised as one of the finest new recording studios in the UK.

Every aspect of the recording process will be covered, preproduction and session planning, studio set-up for tracking, mic placement, overdubs through to creating a monitor mix. This will also include effective use of studio tools: microphones, analogue & digital equipment, outboard effects and plug-ins, plus detailed stereo & multichannel mixing techniques. In other words, an entire recording and mixing session, from start to finish, with one of Europe's leading recording specialists recording a real, live, band.

Dave Eringa has been at the desk for 20 years and has worked with artists ranging from the Manic Street Preachers (10 albums and counting), Idlewild, (3 Albums & counting!), Ash, Ocean Colour Scene, Kylie, Tom Jones, Supergrass and Suede.

The master class is open to all, but please note delegate numbers will be strictly limited in order to get the best out of this amazing weekend. If you are a studio owner, engineer, producer or recording musician, are studying audio engineering, or simply interested to find out more, this will be a unique opportunity to study the workings of a world-class facility under the tutelage of one of the most in demand producers around.

We have aimed to keep the charge to a minimum and will be offering the two day seminar, all accommodation and catering for £450 ex vat. To book your place don't delay, spaces are very limited so contact the studio direct to reserve your place:
