Bob Kraushaar is a very popular British mixing engineer and record producer having worked with Pet Shop Boys, Elton John, Tom Jones, Gary Barlow, Paul McCartney and Trevor Horn.
We met up with Bob Kraushaar at his private recording studio in North London in May 2005, George Shilling asked the probing questions and the interview covers many of the things that we wanted to find out about Bob's techniques and production style.
Bob first came to our attention many years ago when he mixed the excellent sounding Johnny Hates Jazz Turn Back The Clock album with it's rich and vibrant sound that scores a ten out of ten in our books.
Bob had his big break working with legendary producer Trevor Horn. Bob was taken on to work at the then new SARM studios before going on to work with artists including the Pet Shop Boys, Elton John and zillions of others that we have listed in the box below.
