Legendary recording studio designer Eddie Veale took time out of his schedule to talk with Phil English. Phil was very keen to learn all about studio design and made sure that he got some free advice on how to tweak his room at the same time too!
Eddie Veale has over 40 years experience in studio design. With over 500 projects Eddie has designed studios for Music, Radio, TV & Film, Post Production, Education, Auditoria Architectural Acoustics, Heritage Buildings, Theatre, Cinema etc etc.
Eddie's clients over the years reads like a 'who's who' of famous clients, from John Lennon to George Harrison, Eric Clapton to Pete Townshend, Mike Oldfield to Gus Dudgeon, Trevor Horn to Trident Studios, Dolby Laboratories to Brüel & Kjær, Channel 4 to Carlton TV the list goes on and on and on.
Some of our favourite recording studios were designed by Eddie, one at the top of that list must be Hook End Manor which has changed hands over the years but most recently was owned by Trevor Horn pictured below.
