Gospel Oak Studios Nov 2015

Excellent SSL countryside studio close to Birmingham in the Midlands

We love Gospel Oak Studios. Run by Barry Bayliss it features an SSL AWS 900 console and has a superb control room with very relaxed atmosphere. The studio space continues to evolve and as seen in the photos, is a lovely bright and 'vibey' place to work.

Find out more and arrange your visit by going to the Gospel Oak Studios website for more information or by calling Barry on 01564 785875.

The control room is very spacious and has a very good sized booth behind so it's ideal for those vocal overdubs or guitar parts while everyone is in the same room etc.

The monitors range from Genelec to NS10's to Focal's. High end A/D Prism convertors ensure everything sounds excellent and the outboard is as good as any studio with some superb mic's to choose from.

Dan Sprigg talks about production at Gospel Oak Studios.

The control room and booth is on the first floor with the main studio and kitchen being on the ground floor. It's a really civilised place to be based for a long project, Barry keeps the studio immaculate and it's always attracting some of the best engineers such as Mike Exeter, Dan Sprigg, Austen Killburn and many others visiting regularly.

The studio is equipped with a good range of drums and amps so you only really need to bring your guitar and you're ready to make your record!
